OCN NI Level 3 Award in Leadership in Forest Schools

Forest School is an innovative educational approach to outdoor play and learning experiences in a woodland or natural environment with trees, where people can develop a range of skills such as self-confidence, communication and team working by participating in outdoor tasks and activities.The OCN NI Level 3 Leadership in Forest Schools qualification has been designed for learners who wish to gain the knowledge, skills and confidence required to lead Forest School activities, engaging with children in a Forest School setting. It is ideal for teachers/youth leaders wishing to work with their groups outdoors.In order to achieve this qualification learners must complete the single mandatory unit for a total of 6 credits.
