Kenzie Stevenson, Traineeship/Apprenticeship Learner of the Year, at the OCN 2026 Learning Endeavour Awards
Kenzie Stevenson, from South Eastern Regional College, has been named Traineeship/Apprenticeship Learner of the Year at the OCN 2026 Learning Endeavour Awards. The award recognises Kenzie’s commitment to developing industry-relevant skills, embracing workplace learning opportunities and excelling throughout her training programme.
As a dedicated and resilient learner, Kenzie demonstrated a determination to succeed. Living with autism, ADHD, dyslexia and dyscalculia, she has never allowed challenges to limit her ambitions. Instead, she actively volunteered for demanding roles and offered support to her classmates, particularly those facing similar barriers.
Throughout her OCN qualification, Kenzie displayed strong leadership skills in group projects, helping to coordinate tasks, motivate her peers and create a collaborative learning environment. Her empathy, perseverance and positive attitude have made a lasting impact on those around her, inspiring others to overcome obstacles and achieve their full potential.
By combining academic achievement with a genuine commitment to supporting others, Kenzie exemplifies the values of determination and commitment to learning that the Learning Endeavour Awards seek to celebrate.
After receiving the award Kenzie said: “I felt quite emotional and nervous at the same time. When I came here, I thought, ‘I really want to win but is that really for me?’, but I did win and I was very, very happy with it.”
