The issue of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) has shown to feature significantly in subsequent mental health and well-being issues experienced by individuals. An understanding of these issues will assist individuals in supporting those with mental health and well-being issues. The OCN NI Level 4 Certificate in Understanding Adverse Childhood Experiences and Building Resilience has been developed to provide an understanding of the nature of ACE, identification of those at risk, and strategies for individuals to assist others, build resilience and address the adverse impact of ACE. In order to achieve the qualification learners must complete both units for a total of 14 credits.
