The OCN NI Level 1 Certificate in Foundation Skills in Working with Children is designed to provide learners with the necessary basic skills and knowledge for working with children. It provides an introduction in a range of subjects in the early years and social care sector and relevant core skills such as teamwork and health and safety which will assist learners to advance towards more professional and technical qualifications in this area.In order to achieve this qualification learners must achieve a total of 6 credits. 3 credits must be taken from the Core Skills group, and 3 credits from the Early Years and Social Care group.
