Vocational and technical qualification results 2021

09/08/2021

OCN NI appreciate that the past 12 months has been a challenging year for all students and you may feel a little anxious about what this means for your results. Below, you’ll find information to support you in your next steps as you get your grades on results day.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for your resilience, patience and determination to keep on learning and wish you every success for your future endeavours.

How do I receive my results?

If you are expecting your OCN results on either the 10 or 12th August 2021, your results/certificates will be made available to your training provider (i.e. college, school, community organisation) for collection.

Student guide to awarding: summer 2021

The qualifications regulators in NI, Wales and England have produced a guide for students on how GCSEs, A levels, vocational and technical qualifications will be graded and awarded in summer 2021, which can be accessed here

How do I appeal my result?

If you are unhappy with the outcome of your grade and wish to request an appeal, this can only be submitted to OCN NI by your training provider (i.e. college, school, community organisation).

You may request an Appeal to OCN NI because you believe:

1. Your training provider made an administrative error in determining your grade, which was not fixed through a Centre Review.

2. OCN NI made an administrative error.

3. An unreasonable academic judgement was made by your training provider in determining your grade:

OCN NI will manage this process and your training provider will let you know the outcome.
